Sort Artists per percentage
I believe that with the new flexible scheme, a possibility to sort the artists according to the percentage of their target would be beneficial. Some people may invest more seeing some project are nearing completion...

At the moment, the list is sorted by parts and not by budget. That's why PE is not on top of the list, though they have the highest budget. Sorting by budget would be also be problematic due to the different currencies.
Sorting by percentage of the goal would make sense most - it's all relative, and independent from the goal amount, the currency and the part price.

Inappropriate?Thank you for this idea! We'll take it under consideration.

Inappropriate?Just had put about the same question. I'm following this one, have deleted mine. :)
I’m happy

Inappropriate?Nice idea, there really should be done something. But I don't know if percentage would be the correct way, as artists with smaller budgets will raise a higher position than artists with higher budgets.
The should be charts for every possible budgets in the standard scheme. -

I agree their needs to be a % of goal chart absolutely .. also their is that lull when the chart goes down then comes back up .. last week I lost 15 parts in that lull .. they didnt show on the closing chart and were processed while their was no chart.. they didnt show on the new chart .. -
Inappropriate?Seeing that budgets vary now, percentage is the optimum scale to check on the artist's progress towards his/her goal. A budget percentage table would be great. I'm with Thor's view on this one.
A total money raised would be interesting as well.
Coming to think of it, the one that conveys less information and has the least interest now is the number of parts ordering, as parts can have different values as well as the budgets. Number of parts sold says very little in the new sellaband scheme.
I’m always happy, man. :)

Inappropriate?totally agree that search by percentage is one of the usefull options
I also think it should be possible to search by goal - like it was eralier by budget reached.
I’m happy

Inappropriate?Hi all,
I'm happy to inform you that sorting by percentage will be possible after tomorrow's update.

Inappropriate?great

Inappropriate? And this is implemented, too. Now you can sort by amount and percentage. Good!
Unfortunately, the sort by parts/shares is not aviliable any more, so the sort order for the buttons "see all top artists" and "see all new artists" (on the chart page) doesn't work now, causing in a list of funny "top artists". And strangely, the socalled "live charts" doesn't work at all any more, there's this funny error message:
"Oops... We did it again".. - Indeed, again, deploying not so well tested updates ;-)
Oh, and the whole "Show Artists with budget increase" doesn't work any more now. Even the functions on the SAME PAGE were not tested. Experts :-)
I’m amused
-
Inappropriate?now it works by name, amount, %, member since and country
but does not work by genres, believers nd incentives......
anyway I am happy : at list at % I am on 3rd page instead on forgotten cold and dark 7th :)
-
Inappropriate?Great! It's fixed now, the buttons in the charts are working again.
One inconsistency is left: On the chart page, the "Top 5 Artists" are still listed sorted by parts(?). And if you click the button "See all top artists", the artist list is sorted by budget/amount
And be aware that the amount is currency-independant: The €-artists are simply included, no matter that Chris Jones with €1,360 has raised about $1,900 already.
@Kostek: Sort by incentives might be a bit problematic, but I wonder, too, why you cannot sort the list by the number of believers - it should be simple, straightforward and would make some sense (popular artists first). Sort by genre wouldn't make much sense (except for artists with genre 'acoustic' or 'zulu music' ;-). But there should be a genre filter instead.
I’m confident

Inappropriate? If now the sort on % would be by default DESCENDING, it would be perfect :)
I’m happy, almost excited...
-
Inappropriate?Agree with wyando :)
and stiil can not sort by believers Nr.... may be it is my IE8 fault... -
Inappropriate?@Thor: I've asked our programmers to make the "Top 5 Artists" consistent with the new amount sorting we have in the artist search. Sorting by the number of believers is something that we would like to see as well but due to technical legacy this isn't as straightforward as it would seem.
@Wyando: We've noticed this ourselves as well and I can tell you that the default will be descending after next week's update. -
Inappropriate?@Emmanuel: Thumbs up.
Hej, you know what would be absolutely perfect? To highlight those artists the believer, looking at that chart, has parts in (just another cookie game ;))
I’m happy, thankful and almost excited...
-
Inappropriate?@Wyando: This highlighting is a great idea, I would like that! It would make the charts/artist list more personalized!
-
Inappropriate?@Wyando: I like this idea as well and have asked the programmers to do so.

It means you don't have the number of the believers as a field in your artist database? Well, then... I can only congratulate you on your database design ;-)
I’m happy
