Sellaband should be vocally supportive of artist plan changes.
Sellaband should be vocally supportive of artist plan changes.
I think it's a nice step forward to allow for the customization, of plans but then I get an email stating, "This email is to let you know that the fund raising plan of Cubworld has changed.
If you are not happy with these changes you can withdraw your part(s) at any time before the artist reaches their goal.
Because of these changes you will be able to withdraw your Part(s) even if the artist reaches his/her target within the next two weeks.
Check out the new budget and incentives here:

All the best,"
Why is the majority of the email assuring me that I can withdraw my funds? To me it says you're really not behind the change, or the artists as much as we're led to believe. What I'd like to see on these communications would be something telling me as a fan and believer, what the exciting changes mean in terms of the ability to hit the studio sooner, the incentives, etc. rather than a link to the artist's page following two larger sentences assuring me that I can withdraw my funds.
Also, you're probably aware of this by now, but there was a typo on yesterday's email referencing Kane Sole. The notice said he'd switched his plan to be shooting for $15,000 which left him with only $22,000 to go.
I think that the most disturbing thing to me in getting an email like this one regarding Cubworld's change is that on the surface Sellaband appears to be about connecting fans and musicians, but the tone of the email was more along the lines of, "hey, we don't know what the deal is with the change, but rest assured you can withdraw your support, and well hey, best of luck."
I'm sure that you'll think, even if you don't say, that I'm mis-reading the intent behind the email, but the more I see of this kind of thing the more it causes me to question. Please change the email.

Inappropriate? It's a generalized email, the only things that are changed are probably artist name and amount.
I agree that those emails sound too scary and negative. They would be more informative and look more positive if the plan itself was included in the email, and the right to withdraw the parts only added in the end. Referring to "these changes" would make more sense that way, too...
I’m unconcerned
